Good was delicious! Service was very good. Did I mention the food was delicious! Atmosphere was like a diner. Pastelitos and croquetas are the best!

We did not rent a car this visit so we weren't able to drive to some of our regular Cuban coffee shops. The bartender at our hotel at Loews recommended this place. We came here three times during our 3 day stay. We had Café con Leche, colada, guava and cheese pastelitos, eggs perico with Cuban toast, veggie omelette, Cuban sandwich, Columbian empanadas, maduros and black beans. All of the breakfast items (cafe, eggs, pastelitos) were amazing!!! The maduros and beans were really good as well. My daughter liked the Cuban sliders. My husband thought the Cuban sandwich was average. The Columbian empanada was dry, but it was later in the day. They may be better if you get them fresh. The staff was very nice. They offered suggestions and answered questions. Everything was reasonably priced. If you want good food and not to spend an arm and a leg, give this place a

This place is fire af . If you got the munchies and want a little of everything without breaking the bank you gotta hit this joint up. We got 3 empanadas, some potatoes meat stuffed thing, a Cuban sandwich, breakfast burrito and a papusa all for less than $60!!! They have a green and red salsa that are both soooo good too! We asked for a couple more salsas and he brought us the whole squeeze bottled of them! Great service there! Guy was sooo nice too.

The staff here are amazing! They always greet us with a warm welcome and feel like a home away from home. I am from I am born from Cuban parents am always filled with joy to have my croquetas, cafecitos, y café con leche hecho con leche almendra We love it here and the entire staff at Raising Canes loves your hospitality and especially your empanadas!

This place really surprised me! We got the pork chunks with sweet plantains and red beans and rice and the fried chicken with yellow rice and a side of black beans. The pork was crispy and cooked perfectly as it was juicy and tender. The fried chicken had a good crisp as well and the beans were saucy and flavorful. The onions were a bit raw for my likely. The price was great too for about 25 total for 2 meals. The service was good and they were places to eat inside and outside! We be returning!!!!

Great hole in the wall just off South Beach. Sometimes you just get tired of fancy foods. After paying $60 for breakfast my kids didn't want to eat, I was craving something plainer. I went to South Beach Munchies and got a Cuban beef empanada and a papa relleno. Both were very good. I came back the next morning to buy some food for breakfast. I got a huge container of cut fruit, some yogurt, and a smattering of Latin American treats (I did a study of empanadas -- Cuban, Venezuelan, and Argentinian). The owner was there at that point, and he told me the difference between the different empanadas and also gave me some hot sauce that he thought would compliment the food well. A ton of food that lasted for more just breakfast for four, and for less than $30 with tip and tax. All the empanadas were absolutely delicious, and the hot sauce was excellent. The fruit was awesome -- very sweet papaya, berries, mango, and pineapple. This is a must-return kind of place, my favorite kind of place to find.

I wish Munchies wasn't a hop skip and a jump from my apartment because I am constantly tempted every time I walk by. I've sampled quite a lot of their treats as well as their Their fruit bowls are reasonably priced and fresh. They were a little resistant to me asking for a specific one that was in the locked fridge, but I wanted one with more papaya! They eventually let me have it. Their tequeños with guava and cheese are delicious, as are just cheese. I've gotten the ham and cheese empanada and chicken - the chicken I actually tried accidentally when they mistakenly gave it to me when I ordered ham and cheese but I was pleasantly surprised. Their bandeja with maduros, egg, frijoles and cheese was great and a really generous size althoguh it was on the expensive side.
